Wesley Chee, Physiotherapist
Masters Degree (Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapy)
Mr Chee Wai Siong Wesley graduated with a Diploma in Physiotherapy from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2008. He attained a Masters Degree in Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapy from University of South Australia in 2010 after receiving a postgraduate scholarship from Changi General Hospital. In doing so, he became one of the youngest physiotherapists in Singapore to have a specialized Masters degree in his field. He is also a certified Clinical Exercise Specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) (2009) .
He has been practising as a physiotherapist since 2008 and has worked as a Sports Physiotherapist at Changi Sports Medicine Centre and Singapore Sports Medicine Centre.
His main area of specialisation is in Sports & Musculoskeletal injuries. Wesley has special interests in treating runners and individuals with shoulder problems. He has worked with the U16 and U17 national teams from the Football Association of Singapore and was involved as a physiotherapist in the inaugural Asian Youth Games held in Singapore in 2009. Wesley has provided sports physiotherapy and on field coverage for numerous sports including Australian Rules Football, cricket and soccer.
Wesley has experience treating a wide variety of conditions including cervical and lumbar spondylosis, discogenic back pain as well as post-operative Bankart/SLAP lesion, ACL reconstruction, meniscus and Brostrom-Gould repair.
As a certified Clinical Exercise Specialist from ACSM, Wesley is also qualified to assess and prescribe exercises for clinical population with diabetes, hypertension, cardiac pathologies and obesity.
Wesley’s special interest lies in treating sports injuries and is a firm believer in preventing injuries through customised exercises for the individuals. His aim is to help individuals recover functionally in the shortest possible time.
